Abstract presentations
In this presentation the challenges and difficulties of learning EUS will be addressed. Based on guidelines and available literature practical tips on achieving competence and maintaining proficiency will be discussed.
Assuring quality in all endoscopic procedures is extremely important and especially so in EUS given the sometimes major consequences of the findings during EUS. Based on recent guidelines some challenges and goals of quality assurance in EUS will be discussed.
Interventional EUS
Increasingly, as almost all endoscopic techniques, EUS has evolved from a purely diagnostic modality into a therapeutic instrument for the interventional endoscopist.
In this presentation the available instruments for interventional EUS will be presented and discussed as well as the different indications and applications. Based on results published and the literature and personal experience practical tips and trics will be shared.
